Kazi Asheqeen Shaju is a Bangladeshi musician, entrepreneur and founding member of Artcell, one of the country's leading progressive metal bands. Alongside his musical career, he brings international professional experience, music industry entrepreneurship and leadership in collective rights management and advocacy.

Professional / musical background

Shaju is one of the four founding members of Artcell, formed in 1999, where he has served as the band's drummer throughout its journey. He has contributed to the band's landmark albums, major concerts, festivals and international tours, helping establish Artcell as one of Bangladesh's most influential progressive metal bands. Beyond music, Shaju spent approximately ten years in Australia, where he pursued a professional career before returning to Bangladesh. He later co-founded Gaan, a digital music platform, alongside fellow Artcell member Saef Al Nazi (Cézanne), as an entrepreneurial initiative to support music distribution and digital engagement. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bangladesh Lyricists, Composers and Performers Society (BLCPS), where he is involved in organisational operations, music rights management, creator representation and the development of Bangladesh's collective management infrastructure.
